Hi, I'm Colin the drummer!

I joined Sumner Silver Band in 1957 after learning drumming rhythms in College Band, I learnt Violin at CSM, joined Derry`s Brass then Woolston Working Men`s Club Silver Band early seventy`s, 1992 - 96 Rangiora Brass and Kaiapoi Brass too before spending ten years in Australia playing 1997 - 03 with NSW Manly District Band.

I returned back home in 2007 rejoining Sumner Silver Band and 50`s Up Brass. Met the lovely Anna in 1961 through a Band mate and will celebrate 60 years married 2024. We have two children, six grandies and are new Great Grand Parents to Oscar last year.

I am a long time vintage car enthusiast and spent 30+ years in automotive parts. Successfully built Riverside Boarding Cattery 1992 until OZ called. Retired in 2007.

Memorable times in 1992 and 2001 practising and playing with "Ipswich over 50`s' in Suffolk England- "The Square" @ Felixtowe.
