Another initiative during the dark winter months was to hold a number of soirées in lieu of our normal weekly practices.

In all we held three soirées during the winter months, enabling most members of the band to perform either a solo or as part of a duet or larger ensemble to friends and family in a convivial atmosphere. All the soirées were held in The Friendly Societies Lodge at Ferrymead Heritage Park, one of the venues we’re looking at as a potential new location for the band.
