Sumner Community Carols - 13th December 2024

The Sumner Bays Union Trust has been an enthusiastic supporter and benefactor of our band for many years, and it’s a highlight of each Christmas for us to play at the community carols that they organise in the township.

Each year the event captures the enthusiasm of Christmas with residents of all ages gathering together to sing carols and festive songs.

And when the weather is as wonderful as it has been recently it’s an event at which the essence of a kiwi Christmas is on display - youngsters given the freedom to run around and enjoy themselves in the seasonal (for us) weather whilst excitedly awaiting for an early visit from Father Christmas to dispense a few sugary treats.

This year Santa even managed to grab a microphone and to join the band in a few numbers…
