Redcliffs School - 6th December 2024

Christmas is a time for getting together with old friends, and we were pleased to do this last Friday when we played at Redcliffs School for their end of year party.

Sumner Silver Band has a long association with Redcliffs School - we practiced in the library on the old site prior to the earthquakes and then for several years in one of the classrooms at their new post earthquake site until moving to our new home at Ferrymead earlier this year.

One of the delights of a Southern Hemisphere Christmas is that the gatherings are often able to be held outside in the summer sunshine, with picnics and BBQs. As you can see from the short clip of the band playing Hark! The Herald Angels Sing this Friday afternoon’s party was one of these events with adults able to relax at the end of the week while the children were free to run around the school site and enjoy themselves.
