Happy New Year to you all!

2024 was very busy and exciting for Sumner Silver Band. We completed more than 20 performances over the 12 months and moved to a wonderful new home. Under the baton of our Musical Director, Victoria van Uden, the band has thrived and now numbers over thirty regular playing members.

2025 promises to be even more exciting as the band plans to take part in the national brass band championships for the first time in over a decade, and to continue to perform all around the area,

We’re busy revising our music library to introduce new pieces, and over the year will be updating our uniform to give the band a new fresh look going into the future.

The band is very active with an enthusiastic membership, and we are always looking to welcome new members into our team. We practice each Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 in the Friendly Societies Lodge in Ferrymead Heritage Park - if you’re interested in joining us please contact us via the details on the home page of this website.
